JOB DETAILS:
In line with our corporate priorities aimed at ensuring optimization of revenue collection and increased tax compliance on one hand and the need to effectively manage the numerous challenges and opportunities in the fast-changing business environment on the other, we are seeking highly motivated, result-oriented, well-qualified and experienced professionals to fill the following vacant positions:
25.0 SENIOR PERSONAL ASSISTANT- GRADE ZRA05 (2 POSITIONS) CUSTOMS SERVICES AND DOMESTIC TAXES DIVISION
A. PURPOSE
Reporting directly to the Commissioner, the job holder will be responsible for assisting the Commissioner through the provision of a high quality and timely secretarial service as well as arranging for Senior Management Meetings.
B. MAIN DUTIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Compiling and types letters and circulars for the Commissioner on routine;
• Screening all mail and telephone calls for the Commissioner;
• Managing the Commissioner’s diary;
• Arranging travel and accommodation for the Commissioner;
• Compiling statistics from returns, files etc;
• Maintaining efficient filing and brings-up system for the Commissioner’s Office;
• Managing efficiently the office of the Commissioner and ensures that all office machine and equipment are in good working order;
• Maintaining adequate office supplies such as stationery and consumables as well as petty cash;
• Maintaining good relationships with clients, senior management, Board members and staff;
• Undertaking reception duties for the Commissioner; and
• Arranging meetings for Senior Management Meeting.
C. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
• Grade Twelve School Certificate/General Certificate of Education Equivalent;
• Degree in Management/Business Studies/Human Resource Management, or related field;
• Diploma in Secretarial and Office Management/Advanced Secretarial Certificate;
• Minimum of three (3) years relevant work experience;
• Minimum of shorthand Speed of 100/120 wpm;
• Minimum Typing speed of 55/65 wpm;
• Must have worked for a minimum of one year and six months in their current grade; and
• Must be a Member of the Secretaries Institute of Zambia.
