JOB DETAILS:
Reporting directly to the Gate Supervisor, the job holder will be responsible for verifying that actual details of vehicles are copied onto the vouchers in their totality.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Operating inside the booth and collecting data at the gate on a particular truck.
• Ensuring that stationary is available in the booths at the beginning of the shift. E.g. Vouchers, pens, staples, plastics
• Communicating with his/her assistant for smooth running of entries o Ensuring that entries are clear, accurate and neat with all the information being entered in the entry' vouchers
• Checking and writing the plate numbers of the vehicles
• Ensuring that details of Transporters are accurately recorded o Checking and counting the physical number of axles present on the truck
• Reporting to the control room about all incidents, accidents and all mal-functions concerning the equipment at the gate and any other issues that might affect a normal operating day o Ensuring that voucher duplicates are delivered to the Data entry department periodical
• Ensuring safety for himself/herself, others, environment and property.
• Cross-checking that the validator number plate on the exit number is the same as the actual truck at the exit validator
• Checking that the number of axles paid for matches the one marked on the actual truck
• Communicating effectively with gate operator working from the validator.
• Must ensure that all vouchers are taken to the data entry department every day at the end of the shift.

Requirements
• Grade Twelve School Certificate or General Certificate of Education (GCE) Equivalent;

• Ability to communicate effectively, patiently and courteously.
• Ability to work with interruptions at once and to work positively and effectively within a team or self-directed model.
• Attention to detail
