Position Overview:
The Academics Coordinator will oversee all academic operations of the school, aiming to elevate our academic standards. This role involves supervising and supporting teaching staff to ensure effective curriculum delivery and adherence to educational policies. The coordinator will not have direct classroom teaching responsibilities but will focus on enhancing the overall academic performance of the institution.
General Requirements:
Must be a Zambian National.
Must be 30 years and above.
Must be registered with the Teaching Council of Zambia with a valid Teacher Practicing License.
Specific Requirements:
1. Must have a Grade Twelve (12) School Certificate or a General Certificate of Education (GCE) with Five (5) credits or better, including English and Mathematics.
2. Must possess a degree in Education Administration, Curriculum Development, or a related field.
3. Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in an academic supervisory or coordination role.
4. Must be computer literate, with proficiency in educational management systems.
5. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the implementation of the school’s curriculum and ensure compliance with educational standards.
Monitor and evaluate teaching methodologies and provide constructive feedback to educators.
Organize and lead professional development programs for teaching staff.
Develop and implement strategies to improve student academic performance.
Ensure the effective use of educational resources and technology in the teaching process.
Collaborate with school leadership to develop and enforce academic policies.
