JOB DETAILS:
Main Purpose of The Role:
To be the central key contact person for pricing, tender management, customer information relating to rates upkeeping which will entail collaboration and forming an integral part within operational and sales team:
• Collating rates from various suppliers,
• Compiling tenders and management thereof,
• Compiling quotations,
• Preparation of customer SOP and implementation thereof,
• Rates captured on CargoWise1 with a particular focus on auto rating.

Minimum Requirements:
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in freight forwarding and international transport industry
• Understand the various international modes of transport into and out of Zambia (Air, Sea and Road)
• Great knowledge of the ZRA requirements/ customs requirements

Qualifications:
• Matric Certificate
• Degree/Diploma in Logistics or clearing an advantage.

Computer packages
• Office 365 (Teams, OneNote, Forms), MS Word, Excel L2, PowerPoint, Outlook Basics

Duties and Responsibilities:
Admin
• Robust filing system for customer information (rates, quotation etc…)
• Safeguarding of information and keeping information updated and relevant
• Updated proposal templates and company presentations
• Support in the updating SOP

Pricing / Tender
• Pricing for RFP’s, RFQs, Quotations, Tenders and any other pricing related exercises
• Working with the tools provided to deliver consistent, competitive pricing within the agreed KPI’s
• Providing management with information to allow them to make commercial decisions
• Quality checking estimates prior to submission to clients if tender related
• Developing bespoke client solutions
• Developing pricing strategies
• Collaboration with South African Tender Management and Pricing Team Assist team
• Developing costing tools

Rates
• Manage rates loading process.
• Co-ordination of expired and annual rate increase process with Sales/Servicing.
• Ensure all DSV & Tariff rates are readily available and updated regularly.
• Gather feedback from peers, managers and South Africa relating to pricing where applicable.
• Ensure estimates have all necessary pricing available.
• Ensure correctness and viability of pricing applied
• Analysis weekly and monthly reports on Auto Rating.
• Management of Auto rating on Cargo Wise system.

Implementations customer application
I Implementation
• Co-ordinate all Implementation meetings and take lead with customer implementations.
• Reporting and follow up on pending and completed Implementations
• Support and manage re-implementation and customer change management
• Document Quality checks and input on National templates
• Document Management on agreed platform – CW1, SharePoint, etc.

DSV Customer Applications:
• Setup and support of POM, Reporting and MyDSV products and system, new and current business with South Africa
• Customer Innovation and Continuous Improvement Initiatives
• Communicate customer requirements for development
• Support in project Management on PO related Implementation projects with South Africa
• First line support for maintenance, setup, change management, error resolutions
• Document Development for training and Implementation according to standard best practice
• Regular customer engagements and Commercial support where needed on new and existing customers
• Sales support of Customer Applications and Value-Added services as defined – POM, Track & Trace, etc.
• Support customer workshops and Solution Design
• Maintenance and enhancements of POM Tool
• Internal and External training on POM
• Vertical Development Support – Key focus on retail vertical and existing customer base

Data Quality
• Focus on key statistics of the company driving data quality in the following ares
• Invoicing speed
• Local client
• Mandatory fields
• MBL Validation
• MyDsv bookings
• Ensure you adhere to the established work safety rules at all times
