Job description:
Purpose
The Artisan, Body Repair will be responsible for safely executing maintenance work according to the prescribed standards while ensuring the safety of self and others.

Key Responsibilities
• This position will be required to adhere to all relevant requirements, policies, procedures and legal regulations pertaining to health, safety, environment and quality, as well as finance, human resources, and any other regulations as required by the company and relevant to the level of the role and responsibilities of the function.
• Determine specific parts or pieces of a vehicle/machine that need to be repaired or replaced
• Carry out the repair of all body and panel related works on relevant machinery
• Review damage reports, prepare cost estimates for repairs and plan work to be formed.
• Clean and prepare any area that requires panel beating and spray painting
• Sanding and prepping areas that need spray painting
• Prepare dents on surfaces that need spray painting and use the recommended and appropriate tools to complete the job.
• Remove or cover areas that are not part of the repair to avoid over spray.
• Maintain the vehicle appearance by cleaning after maintenance
• Always ware recommended PPE whilst working
• Any other relevant work as stipulated by direct supervisor

Qualifications
• Minimum of a Grade Twelve (Grade 12) Certificate
• Craft Certificate Metal Fabrication or similar from a recognized institute
• Class C Driver’s License

Experience
• Minimum of 3 years industry related experience
• Basic boilermaker skills will be an added advantage
