JOB DETAILS:
Bigtree Brands (BTB) is a dynamic Company and has rapidly grown into one of the largest beverage companies in Zambia. We are urgently searching for highly motivated and result oriented individuals.

LOCATION: MULTI FACILITY ECONOMIC ZONE (MFEZ), LUSAKA

3. ASSISTANT PROCUREMENT OFFICER – LOCAL / IMPORT SPARES

• Reporting to the Procurement Officer, the role is responsible for carrying out all tasks allocated by the Procurement Officer, which may include conducting research on potential vendors and suppliers, inspecting goods, and updating records, following up with store for daily reorder level status, following up with suppliers for pending LPO status, daily review of supplier dispatch schedule, negotiate pricing, and transport costs for all production lines.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Conduct product research and source new suppliers and vendors.
• Source materials, goods, products, and services and negotiate the best or most cost-effective contracts and deals.
• Compare and evaluate offers from suppliers and negotiate contract terms of agreement and pricing.
• Perform inventory inspections and reorder supplies and stock as necessary.
• Inspect and monitor stock levels as needed.
• Update, and maintain records of all orders, payments, and received stock.
• Coordinate, and track orders and ensure timely delivery.
• Establish professional relationships with clients as well as vendors and suppliers.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
• Full Grade 12 Certificate
• Diploma in Business, Logistics, Purchase & Stores or a related field. Bachelor’s Degree is an added advantage
• 3 to 4 years’ experience in a similar position.
• Proficiency in the relevant management software programs
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent negotiation, networking and time management skills.
• Ability to follow client specifications.
• Physical fitness, as the role may require standing for extended periods, lifting heavy objects, and working in industrial environments.
