JOB DETAILS:
Overall Job Purpose:
The position exists to repair damaged or faulty electrical parts, install new systems and equipment, and carry out routine maintenance works.

Specific Job Responsibilities:
The specific tasks to be performed by the position holder will include;
• Adhere to all relevant requirements, policies, procedures and legal regulations pertaining to health, safety, environment and quality, and any other regulations as required by the company and relevant to the level of the role and responsibilities of the function.
• Installation of new electrical systems, replacement of old, faulty electrical systems as per the Company and vendor’s safety and quality specifications.
• Ensure that all electrical equipment have the correct hardware interlock and safety parameter settings for effective and safe operation.
• Adhere to the companies planned and preventative maintenance schedules and procedures on electrical system components.
• Diagnosing starting and charging malfunctions
• Knowledge on troubleshooting and diagnostic system
• Able to work on light vehicles, front end loaders and other earth moving equipment.
• Able to work on geotags two-way radio
• Able to repair air conditioners
• Other duties as instructed by the Supervisor.

Experience required to perform in this job:
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a mining environment, or similar.
• Experience on earth moving equipment.
• Experience on light vehicles
• Experience on starting and charging systems.
• Will be an advantage to have experience on geotags two-way radio etc.
• Experience on air conditioner repairs.

Qualifications:
• G12 Certificate
• A Crafts certificate or its Equivalent;
• EIZ Certification
• Valid driver’s licence.
