Bookworld Ltd is Zambia’s biggest book and stationery company with a nationwide presence, committed to providing high-quality educational materials to schools and institutions across the country.
About the role:
Bookworld is looking for a suitably qualified candidate to join their team as a Book Section Manager. The candidate will play a pivotal role within the retail warehouse and will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the book section’s operations. This role demands a strong passion for literature, keen organizational skills, and effective leadership abilities to ensure the smooth functioning of the book section within our retail business.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain accurate inventory records of all books, ensuring sufficient stock levels to meet customer demand.
• Co-ordinate with procurement teams on stock replenishment
• Ensure proper shelving, categorization, and arrangement of books
• Be a team leader and able to manage a team
• Desired Skills and Experience
• Minimum of Grade 12 Certificate
• 2years+ experience of working within a warehouse
• Computer literate
• Proven references that will be counter-checked
• Proven experience in retail management would be a plus
• Compensation:
The incumbent will receive a competitive salary commensurate with experience.
