1.1 INTRODUCTION

Habitat for Humanity Zambia is a locally registered Non-Governmental Organization founded in 1984 and currently operates in three provinces namely; Lusaka, Central and on the Copperbelt. The organization has been responding mainly to shelter needs and related issues such as water and sanitation to serve the most vulnerable families living in marginalized peri-urban communities within the three provinces.

1.2 DELIVERY APPROACH
Habitat for Humanity Zambia promotes a community driven approach involving the local authority (Council), Lukanga Water and Sanitation Company Limited and community members and its leadership from the onset during the planning , implementation, monitoring and completion of installation works. This ensures development of local capacities in quality delivery of the product to the satisfaction of end users and the funding agencies in accordance to the scope of works (see annex 1 below).

1.4 EXPERIENCE

Prospective Vendors must have carried out successful supply and delivery of similar items of similar size and complexity. Potential Vendors must demonstrate the willingness and commitment to meet the tender criteria.

1.5 TAXES ON IMPORTED GOODS

The Successful Bidder will have to pay custom duty and VAT as applicable for the vehicle to be supplied.

1.6 CUSTOMS CLEARANCE

The Vendors shall be responsible for custom clearance of the Vehicle.

1.7 CONTRACT PRICE AND CONTRACT

The contract shall be of unit price type.

1.8 PAYMENTS

Payments are made within 30 days of receipt of a valid invoice.

1.9 BID VALIDITY

Your bid must be valid for 30 days.

2.0 EVALUATION CRITERIA

HFHZ will determine the winning supplier on the basis of cost and the criteria below.

Vehicle to be delivered to HFHZ’s offices in Lusaka Zambia. All costs of delivery to be included in the offer.

2.2 DEADLINE FOR BIDS SUBMISSION
All BIDs must be submitted deposited in a Tender Box at Habitat for Humanity Zambia Offices in Kabulonga on Plot 488a Twin Palms Road Kabulonga, Lusaka. The submission should also include a USB Flush Drive containing soft copies of all documents submitted no later than Wednesday , 4th December 2024 by 2:00 PM clearly marked “SUPPLY AND DELIVERY OF A LAND CRUISER 76 HARDTOP 10 SEATER, 5 DOOR (AIRBAGS, AIR CONDITIONING, ABS, ROOF RACK) , MODEL: HZJ76R-RKMRS SFX: A2: ”, and addressed to the Chairperson, Procurement Committee.

2.4 SIGNING OF CONTRACT

Promptly upon notification, the Employer shall send the successful Bidder the contract agreement for review and signing.

2.5 PROJECT DURATION

The employer expects the Motor Vehicle to be delivered within 30-35 days of the date of signing the contract.
