JOB DETAILS:
Job Purpose
To provide administrative and academic leadership in the school by ensuring the school has adequate and qualified academic staff to required for the available programmes. Taking a lead in raising the resources for the school by developing competitive programmes

Duties And Responsibilities
• Promoting the development and implementation of the school’s teaching, curricula and research programmes.
• Developing and implementing the strategic plan of the school with Heads of Department and preparing and implementing school’s annual budget
• Ensuring quality assurance by providing in preparation, and running of the tests and examination in the schools
• Calling and chairing the school Board of examiners and Board studies including establishing advisory boards for the school.
• Encouraging collaboration with other learning institution through Memoranda of understanding to promote staff and students exchange and for research collaborations.
• Ensuring that the strategic directions relating to the operations of the school are implemented.
• Taking responsibility on the performance through proper decision-making including counselling. guiding and disciplining staff who fail targets and violating regulations.

Qualification and Experience & Skills
The University seeks an individual with
• Grade twelve (12) Certificate with 50 Levels which must include English Language and Mathematics
• Bachelor of Science in Medicine and Surgery
• Master of Science in Clinical Sciences
• Earned Doctor of Philosophy Master of Medicine degree in Medical Sciences
• Must provide proof of Valid membership to a professional body
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
