JOB DETAILS:
Job Description
Sales and Marketing
1. To support the sales process by producing technical drawings for clients including plans, shop drawings cutting schedules and sectional details.
2. To generate business for Rapid Aluminium through liaison with colleagues and associates at Zambia Institute of Architects, NCC, EIZ and other professional bodies.
3. To assist with the compilation and submission of tender documents.
4. To use Gineri, Revit, AutoCad, ArchitCAD to generate technical drawings for use internally and for submission to architects, engineers and contractors.
5. To train and teach the sales consultants to design and draw shop drawings and details.
6. To provide Clients with explanations and demonstrations / explanations of the various different Frame Designs and options.
7. To assist colleagues at Rapid Aluminium with technical advice and information relating to quotes, tenders and practical installations.
8. To assist the sales team in the generation of quote clients using the Gineri software.
Internal Systems and Processes
1. To routinely support the Installation Managers and Chargehands by producing technical drawings including plans, shop drawings and sectional details to support installations.
2. To support the Technical Supervisor on development of Rapid Aluminium standardized Training Manuals for the fabrication and installation of windows, doors, shopfronts, facades skylights, frameless glass and other products offered by the company.
3. To support the trademarking and protection the intellectual property of Rapid Aluminium Training Manuals by registering them with the relevant bodies i.e. PACRA.
4. To promote the Company with the regular management updates of the Company Social media accounts, productions of adverts, reels and responding to Social media enquiries.
Project Architectural Design
1. To work with Senior Management on conceptualization and design of Rapid Aluminium real-estate.
2. To manage the process to get all necessary drawings and permits for Rapid Aluminium real-estate approved by municipal councils.
3. To work with nominated clients or their representatives on the conceptualization and design of clients’ existing or proposed real-estate as part of a ‘value added service’ provided by Rapid Aluminium.
4. To Design and produce Engineering fabrication drawings for Shopfronts, Windows / doors Curtain walls, showers, balustrades, skylights with sectional details , elevations for approval by the clients, project Architects, engineers or statutory bodies.
5. To produce project shop drawings and sectional details for approval by clients, project architects, project engineers or statutory bodies.
6. To keep an open dialogue flowing with project architects and other professional consultants to ensure Rapid Aluminium are at all times fully aware of latest project developments.
7. To keep abreast of changes of quantities, sizes and design of on-going projects and ensure that all variations are taken into consideration and changes in price, material requirement or time needed are recorded and communicated to key stakeholders.
8. To Manage, record, save and catalogue all meetings, and drawing revisions in Chronological format for the specific projects and clients.
Product Development
1. To liaise with HBS Aluminium Systems on new product development, providing them with suggestions and recommendations on how to improve their products.
2. To provide support to the Technical Supervisor in designing new products and improving on existing products and submitting recommendations to HBS Aluminium Systems.
Regulatory Bodies
1. To lobby Zambia Institute of Architects and others for the establishment of a regulated association for fenestration contractors in Zambia.
Supporting Senior Management:
1. To take a prominent role in managing the construction of new offices and renovation of existing structures at Rapid Aluminium.
2. To assist in the co-ordination of internal meetings with Sales, Accounts, Workshop, Procurement and Installations departments.
3. Booking of appointments, maintenance appointments and site visits,
4. Data inputting.
