JOB DETAILS:
Scribante Mining Ltd (Svett Mining Services) seeks to recruit highly energetic, committed and passionate Zambian for the position of Drilling Supervisor to join the versatile Mining team.

Position Description
This position reports to the Drilling Coordinator. Successful candidate will be responsible for the below duties.

Responsibilities
• Cost-efficient use of all drilling consumables i.e. drills bits, drill rods, hammers.
• Stick to the plan and report any variation to the Drilling Coordinator.
• Ensure all production/fleet sheets are entered correctly and get to dispatch on time.
• Maximize compliance with operational plans by ensuring that all activities under the coordinator’s control are carried out in accordance with the operation plans.
• Ensure the efficient operation of drilling fleet by monitoring key performance measures and sustaining a continuous improvement process.
• Correct/ diligent use of Supervisor Checklist book.
• Actively promote, monitor, and participate in safe working practices.
• Identify risks in the work area and use of correct controls
• Monitor availability and utilization of the drilling equipment.
• Liaise with Construction personnel to ensure that well platforms are constructed to specifications, in a time and cost-effective manner.
• Liaises with subsurface geology and production teams.

Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience
• Grade 12 certificate
• Must have blasting license with 3 years blasting experience in mining
• Five (5) years’ experience in the open pit mining industry in the drilling section.
• Must have sound Knowledge of safe working procedures and mine. operations.
• Must be able to interpret and implement drilling plans and knowledge on Sandvik Machine – Leopard DI550, DI650i and DI650.
