Tearfund wish to recruit a Committed Christian to the position of Driver.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Drive Tearfund vehicles and execute tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
2. Follow the rules and regulations of driving Tearfund vehicles at all times.
3. Ensure the safety and security of vehicle, staff, ensuring that road discipline and traffic rules are observed.
4. Manage the day-to-day maintenance of the assigned vehicle to ensure roadworthiness before departure. This includes daily check of tyres, brakes, engine oil, fan belt, etc. Ensure cleanliness of the vehicle at all times.
5. Fill in the inspection vehicle logs status and share with the Programme Administrator. Report promptly any defects or malfunctioning of the vehicle that requires immediate attention.
6. Ensure that in case of accident, Tearfund HSS procedures are followed, including and not limited to incident reporting, incident log and follow up procedures.
7. Maintain the vehicle log sheet including the fuel consumption Vehicle maintenance logs and records, ensuring Tearfund Vehicle are maintained to the highest standard possible.
8. Collect mail and deliver various documents as planned by Office
9. Maintaining a checklist and inventory of spares parts, tools and first aid kits to ensure all vehicle are properly fitted with all required tools, gadgets and kits.
10. Ensuring that car keys and/ all Tearfund vehicles are kept safe in accordance with vehicle safety policy.
11. Keeping track of service, insurance and registration dates and alerting the Programme Administrator well in advance.
12. Making weekly reports on vehicle status to be shared with the line manager
13. Keep proper records on consumables used and maintenance performed for each vehicle.
14. Makes sure all vehicles carry appropriate equipment and tools by Rwandan Law, and by Tearfund.
15. Perform such other duties as may be assigned
