JOB DETAILS:
Job Purpose
To carry out routine installations, repair and maintenance activities for the electrical installations in the university by ensuring that all technical installations, troubleshooting and electrical connectivity are done competently according to acceptable standard.

Duties And Responsibilities;
• Troubleshooting electrical issues and repairing of electrical equipment in buildings
• Inspecting circuits breakers and other electrical components
• Conducting general electrical maintenance
• Labelling system components and preventing breakdown of the systems by routinely inspecting and replacing old wiring and insulated cables, cleaning circuits
• Ensuring safety by installing safety and distribution components (e.g. switches, resistors, circuit- breakers panels etc.) and hygiene standards are maintained in the workshop
• Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.

Qualification and Experience
The University seeks an individual with
• Grade twelve (12) Certificate with 5 O Levels which must include English Language and Mathematics
• Diploma in electrical engineering
• At least Three (3) years of work experience and Valid member of EIZ
