JOB DETAILS:
Eastern Water and Sanitation Company Limited was incorporated as a private company limited by shares, under the Companies Act (Cap 388 of the Laws of Zambia) on 12th May 2008. The Company's mission is to uplift the living standards of all our customers through the exceptional provision of safe, adequate and affordable and environmentally friendly water supply and sanitation services to the existing and potential clients in the urban and peri-urban areas of Eastern Province. In order to achieve its mandate Eastern Water and Sanitation Company is advertising for the following positions:
Reports to the Managing Director, the Finance Manager's responsibilities will include planning investment treasury management, maintaining up to date and well balanced company ledger accounts and other Statutory records to facilitate smooth execution of audits, timely provision of accurate financial and non-financial information to enable management make decisions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Sets budgeting criteria for departments and districts to guide managers and supervisors in the preparation of budget estimates for their operations
• Receives budget inputs from departments and districts and consolidates operating and capital budgets for the Company within policy guidelines defined by the Board informed
• Monitors the performance of the EWSC budget after it is approved by the Board to ensure that it is always within the approved budget
• Develops and implements adequate and effective internal control systems and procedures in order to safeguard and ensure sufficient security of company assets.
• Ensures that the Company has adequate working capital and cash flows for its operations Develops and implements an effective revenue management system
• Manages the Company's revenue and other funds from donors and Government
• Supervises payments and ensures timely payments to suppliers, statutory bodies and staff

QUALIFICATIONS
• Full Grade 12 School Certificate
• Full Professional Accounting Qualification Such as CA/ACCA/CIMA, or its equivalent
• Computer literate-fully conversant with accounting packages suchPASTEL Member of the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA)
• Five years working experience out which three years should be at Management level.
