JOB DETAILS:
• Bluelight is a dynamic and growing consulting business committed to making helping clients achieve their goals. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Finance and Administration Assistant to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of our organization by supporting financial operations and administrative functions.
Responsibilities:
• Financial Data Entry and Maintenance:
• Record and reconcile financial transactions in accounting software.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
• Accounts Payable and Receivable:
• Process invoices, payments, and expense reports.
• Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to resolve payment discrepancies.
• Bank and Cash Management:
• Reconcile bank statements and maintain cash flow records.
• Assist in preparing and processing banking transactions.
• Monitor and manage petty cash.
• Administrative Support:
• Provide general administrative support to the finance and administration team.
• Assist in organizing and maintaining financial documents, contracts, and records.
• Handle routine correspondence and communication.
• Compliance and Reporting:
• Assist in compliance with local and international financial regulations.
• Prepare and submit required financial reports and documentation.
• Support internal and external audits as needed.
• Expense Monitoring and Analysis:
• Monitor and analyze expenses against budgets.
• Identify areas for cost-saving and efficiency improvements.
• Generate regular financial reports for management review.
• Team Collaboration:
• Collaborate with other departments to gather financial information and support cross-functional initiatives.
• Communicate effectively with team members to ensure a smooth workflow.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, ACCA, ZICA, or related field.
• Proven experience in an accounting department, or similar role.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., Pastel).
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
