Job title: Financial Controller

Function: Finance – General
Location: Siavonga, Zambia

Purpose statement:
The FC will oversee the day to day activities of the finance team and ensure the finance function is organised, efficient and produces accurate financial and management accounts. The person will manage a team of professionals and work closely with the Head of financial planning and analysis, reporting to the Genaral Manager.

Key responsibilities
• Management of the finance function and the finance team
• Maintenance of financial ledgers and accounting processes
• Preparation of monthly consolidated income statement, cash flow, balance sheet and key performance indicators
• Timely and accurate production of statutory and internal financial reports
• Preparation of financial reports to stakeholders in Zambia and overseas
• Financial modelling and analysis
• Ensuring that appropriate systems and internal controls and implemented and maintained
• Daily reconciliation of key information
• Overseeing payroll
• Management of tax and other statutory returns

Key skills
• Qualified accountant (CA, ACCA or CIMA)
• At least 3 years experience in a senior financial position
• Strong technical skills for IFRS
• Demonstratable team management skills
• Experience of managing an audit processes
• Provide training and development to team members
• Experience of internal controls and systems implementation an advantage
• Excellent written and language skills
