JOB DETAILS:
Job Purpose
The Responsibilities of this role will include but not limited to the following:
• Operating controls and driving alternating and direct current drum winders.
• Read through the logbook and sign before and after the shift in accordance with the Statutory and Domestic Safety Regulations.
• Checking and testing equipment/safety devices within two (2) hours of taking charge of the shift.
• Receiving and interpreting bell signals from the Cage Tender, On-setter, Skipman, Banksman and maintenance crew.
• Observing depth indicator, amp & voltmeters and rope speed indicators.
• Checking constantly at control panel readings of the winder.
• Following established Safety Procedures and Practices.
• Ferrying personnel, materials and rock to and from underground.
• Regulating speed when approaching destination to avoid injury to personnel and safeguard company property.

To be considered for this position, the candidate should meet the following minimum requirements:
• Grade 12 certificate or equivalent.
• Certificate of Competence in Wind Engine Driving.
• First Aid Certificate.
• Good Communication Skills
• Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills
• Team Player with good Problem-solving Skills.
