Job description:
Specific Job Responsibility
1. Project execution: Collaborate with the Senior Project Lead to execute critical projects by assisting in project planning, monitoring progress, and ensuring that project objectives are met.
2. Bottleneck identification: Contribute to efforts aimed at identifying bottlenecks and constraints in operational processes, providing valuable input to mitigation strategies.
3. Data analysis: Support data analysis efforts to assess project performance, KPIs, and key drivers of project success. Assist in translating data into actionable insights.
4. Project closure: Support the Senior Project Lead in the project closure process, ensuring that project deliverables are completed and lessons learned are documented.
5. Reporting: Assist in the preparation of agendas, workshop hosting, project charters, project progress reports and presentations for senior management and key stakeholders.
6. Stakeholder engagement: Engage with project stakeholders to gather feedback, understand their needs, and ensure alignment with project objectives

Job Specific Competencies
• Ability to work under the guidance of a Senior Project Lead and contribute to project successes.
• Familiar with project and/or process management knowledge in a recognised professional setting
• Interpretation of data sets and assist drive data-influenced decisions
• MS Projects, Teams, Planner, SharePoint, Miro (or similar ideation tool)
• Strong competency of MS Office Suite
• Report writing

Experience required to perform in this job
• Practical experience in a mining or construction-related field considered advantageous

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Project Management, Organisational Psychology, or related field, from a recognised tertiary institution.
• Registration as a Candidate Engineer with the Engineering Institution of Zambia.
• Valid First Aid Certificate considered advantageous.
• Blasting Certificate considered advantageous.
