JOB DETAILS:
• NFC Africa Mining PLC (Chambishi Mine) an international mining company with its core business being the development of non-ferrous metals and mineral resources in Zambia. In our quest to continue supplementing Government effort by creating more local jobs, it is for this reason that we seek to employ suitably qualified, innovative and dynamic individuals to fill the vacant positions below:
• Head of Purchasing (x1)

Key Responsibilities
The role will include but not be limited to the following responsibilities:
• To assist in sourcing correct spares, materials and services to support service delivery and production.
• To negotiate with suppliers of goods and services for better prices in order to reduce costs.
• To examine outstanding orders report so as to keep track of goods in transit and avoid disruption of work schedules.
• To train and develop subordinates in order to maximize their contributions towards attainment of sectional/ departmental goals.
• To enforce all statutory and domestic regulations relating to safe working practices in order to ensure safety of employees and equipment.
• To manage timely and accurately maintenance of records in order to facilitate efficient storage and retrieval of information; and
• To manage timely implementation of performance management systems in order to monitor and evaluate performance.

Qualifications & Requirements
• Full Grade 12 School Certificate
• Bachelor’s Degree in Purchasing and Supply or equivalent
• Valid Practising Certificate from Zambia Institute of Purchasing and Supply.
• Minimum of 5 years working experience, mining sector experience will be an added advantage.
• Ability to write analytical and descriptive reports
• Ability to communicate effectively in English Computer literate

Level of Education: Bachelor Degree
