JOB DETAILS:
• Job Purpose
The IT Project Manager will be responsible for managing and overseeing the Bank’s ICT special projects and tasks under the direction of Senior Management, and assisting in performing various activities related to administrative, compliance, and internal affairs. Take full charge of all aspects of ICT project phases including proactive management of project risks and issues.

Summary of key Responsibilities:
• Develops and maintains key project deliverables, project plans, communication plans and status reports.
• Draft and revise business cases, project plans, statements of works and vendor provided artefacts, highlighting potential issues and dependencies and recommend ways for ensuring success.
• Defines and evaluates problems and plans effective solutions.
• Manage requirements gathering, customizations, Data Migration, testing, training and deployment for Core Banking project.
• Assigning tasks to members of your team and setting a budget and timeline for the project and making sure the project sticks to it.
• Identify areas of risk and ways to minimize the risk to make sure a project is completed successfully.
• Manage scope for ICT/Core Banking Project
• Prepare presentation and briefing material, status reports for the Senior Management Team and other stakeholder groups.
• Work with stakeholders to determine and prioritize project objectives, critical success factors and project risks.
• Coordinate with vendors to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget.
• Ensure that systems requirements analysis provides sufficient formality and records for effectively communicating, coordinating, executing and quality assuring tasks between many onsite and offsite contributors.
• Perform Impact analysis for changes impacting ICT/Core Banking project.
• Establish healthy working relations and partnerships with Business, vendor and peers.

Primary Areas of Accountability:
Qualifications and Experience
• Degree in Computer Science/Management Information Systems
• Masters in Project Management, Business Administration, Computer Science /Information Technology or a related subject;
• Must have a minimum of 8-10 years of relevant work experience in ICT
Project Management/Project Delivery with a Commercial Bank or Telecoms
Company
• PMP Certification is required
• Must have proven
experience in Project Management including project scheduling, project
deliverables, project budgeting and controlling all aspects of projects
• Expert in MS Project, MS Office products and other related tools.
• Good knowledge of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) and Agile methodology.
• Strong ICT Skills
• Proven experience using project management software is a big plus
• Must have knowledge of Banking ICT products & regulations in the domain.
• Strong understanding of ICT project management methodologies.
• Must be a member of a relevant professional body
