JOB DETAILS:
Itezhi Tezhi Power Corporation Limited (ITPC) is a Joint Venture Company owned by ZESCO Limited and The TATA Power Company Limited to build and operate the 120 Mega Watt Hydro Power Station on the Itezhi Tezhi Dam of the Kafue River in Itezhi Tezhi District.

The company seeks to recruit a suitably qualified candidate for the position of Information & Communications Technology Engineer to be based at the Itezhi Tezhi Hydropower Station in Itezhi TezhiDistrict.
• Maintain and optimize IT and communication systems, including SCADA systems, to monitor plant performance.
• Implement and maintain network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, and wireless communication systems.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and ensure the reliability of communication links between key operational areas.
• Collaborate with engineers and technical teams to design and upgrade control systems and IT platforms.
• Ensure data security and maintain backup and disaster recovery systems.
• Monitor system performance and analyze data to support operational decision-making and system improvements.
• Support the integration of emerging technologies and innovations into plant operations.

Reporting
The position is in Grade IT 5 management structure and reports to the Senior Control and Instrumentation Engineer of the Itezhi Tezhi Power Corporation Limited.

Knowledge and Skills
• Full Grade 12 Certificate and Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering or related field.
• Post qualifying experience of three (05) years in similar work environment
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals or Advanced Certifications
• CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional)
• CompTIA Network+ (Network troubleshooting and design)
• CompTIA Security+ (Cybersecurity skills firewalls, intrusion detection systems)
• Knowledge of programming languages (Python, Java, C++,).
• Cloud computing experience.
