INVITATION FOR BIDS (IFB)
LEASE OF LAND FOR TOURISM INVESTMENT AT CHISHIMBA WATERFALLS, KASAMA DISTRICT, NORTHERN PROVINCE TENDER NO: NHCC/CF/07/24
The National Heritage Conservation Commission (NHCC) is a statutory body under the Ministry of Tourism established under CAP 173 of the Laws of Zambia. The Commission's core mandate is the conservation of the country's immovable heritage. Being a tourism supporting organisation, the Commission has 100 hectares of land at Chishimba falls earmarked for investment in tourism related facilities, infrastructure or a combination of tourism activities.
Chishimba Falls National Monument is located 35 kilometres from Kasama along the Kasama-Mporokoso road. The Chishimba falls are found along the Luombe river at Longitude 30 degrees 55 minutes East and Latitude 10 degrees 07 minutes South. The site has three successive waterfalls namely; Mutumuna, Kaela and the main Chishimba Falls. The three waterfalls are separated by a distance of less than 300 meters from each other. The Chishimba falls is the second most visited heritage site in Zambia after the Victoria falls.
The NHCC now invites interested parties willing to invest in tourism related business at the site.
Bidders are advised to indicate the type of development they would like to undertake and the extent of the available land they need. Interested bidders can obtain a bidding document from the National Heritage Conservation Commission, Northern Region Offices, located at Plot Number 118, Independence Avenue, Kasama or request it by email to: hendrixmofya@gmail.com and bsimakole@yahoo.com upon payment of a non-refundable fee of ZMW 5,000 in cash or bank certified cheque.
The Bids clearly marked "Tender for Lease of Land for Tourism Development at Chishimba waterfalls" addressed to the Acting Executive Director should be deposited in the tender box located at National Heritage Conservation Commission, Headquarters, Plot 9304, Dedan Kimathi Road, Lusaka. The closing date for receiving bids is 28th August, 2024 PLEASE NOTE THAT ELECTRONIC AND TELEFAX OFFERS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
