JOB DETAILS:
The University of Lusaka is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill up the positions of Lecturers in the following Schools and fields, on full time basis;
School of Law
The following are the required fields;
• Human Rights Law
• Mooting and Advocacy Skills
• Investment Law
• Administrative Law
Qualifications
To be considered for the above mentioned courses, one should have the following qualifications:
• Bachelor of Laws (with a minimum of Credit).
• Master of Laws with a bias in any of the above mentioned areas.
• LLD in the relevant field or a PhD in Law is an added advantage.
• A Postgraduate Diploma in Teaching/ Lecturing Methodology.
• A qualification of being an Advocate of the High Court of Zambia is an added advantage.
• Must be conversant with and easily adaptable to the Zambian Law.
• At least five (5) years’ experience of lecturing at tertiary level.
• Five (5) years industrial experience in the fields of study is an added advantage.
Summary of Job Responsibilities
• Develop and enhance course outlines and teaching materials for the assigned courses.
• Teach the students on the courses assigned and assess their work.
• Supervise students’ research work.
• Conduct research and publish scholarly works.

• Self-motivated, resourceful, and strong intellectual ability.
• Should be ambitious, innovative, and a team player.
• Ability to work with minimum supervision.
• Must be articulate, relatable and have strong interpersonal skills.
• High level of planning and organizing skills.
• Good computer skills including knowledge of educational digital software and platforms.
• Passionate about teaching as well as ability to research and create new knowledge
School of Business, Economics and Management
The following are the required fields;
• Introduction to Microeconomics
• Mathematics For Economics
• Advanced Microeconomics
• Advanced Macroeconomics
Qualifications
• To be considered for this position, one must have the following qualifications from recognized Institutions;
• A Bachelor of Arts in Economics (with a minimum of a Credit).
• A Master’s Degree in Economics.
• A PhD in Economics is an added advantage.
• A Postgraduate Diploma in Teaching/ Lecturing Methodology.
• At least five (5) years’ experience of lecturing at tertiary level.
• Five (5) years industrial experience in this fields of study is an added advantage.
Summary of Job Responsibilities
• Develop course outlines, modules and schemes of work for the assigned courses.
• Lecture on the courses assigned.
• Contribute to pedagogy process and material improvement for the assigned courses.
• Carry out research and publish in peer reviewed journals.
• Supervise both Undergraduate and Postgraduate students’ research work.

Salary Package:
