JOB DETAILS:
Job Purpose
The Flexcube Manager will be responsible for managing the production support & delivery for the most critical application of the bank – Core Banking. Take the lead, establish, manage, and follow up activity plan for core banking unit. Implement configuration and parameter setting/fine-tuning to improve the overall Core banking system performance. Develop and execute the support strategy of technology by achieving objectives and goals. Deliver information technology solutions to fulfil business and functional requirements.

Summary of Key Responsibilities:
• Lead, establish, manage, and follow up activity plan for core banking unit
• Implement configuration and parameter setting/fine-tuning to improve the overall Core banking system performance.
• Support and manage Core Banking system that can impact the bank with huge financial losses, reputational issues, regulator warnings/penalties and also can incur huge operational losses.
• Analysis and assessment of business needs and requirements versus system support
• Provide Core Banking System parameterization according to the Products Committee requests as well as a regular periodic parameterization
• Guide/mentor the team and deliver unique service by providing high quality of support.
• Provide technical training to guide subordinates in the execution of their roles
• Manage all issues by logging them into the Portal and follow up
• Prepare user guide and procedure to all system users
• Cross-train in all banking system functional to all users levels
• Create new branches, products, features, modules…
• Identify, analyze and report occurred and potential user and/or system problems as well as coordinate with software vendor for solutions
• Lead the Core Production Support function at Technology Bangalore within the SLA, schedule, budget and scope parameters, including testing & overseeing the quality and compliance controls throughout the project life cycle.
• Deploy training, testing, and development environment
• Develop customizations and interfaces in the Core Banking System
• Enhance core banking system using Oracle Flexcube Development Workbench
• Participate in project implementation related to Core Banking
• Advice business stakeholders on the optimal business process – in line with Flexcube functionality
• Participate in business stakeholders meeting for requirements gathering
• Provide technical expertise and recommendations in the assessment of issues and initiatives to support and enhance systems.
• Helping the development team in explaining the Banking concept and to verify for the correct issues resolution/functionality developed by the team.

• Knowledge of Flexible core banking systems is a must.

Primary Areas of Accountability:
Qualifications and Experience
• Grade 12 Certificate with Credit or above mandatory in Mathematics and English and any other three subjects.
• Minimum bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / Computer Engineering / Information Technology / Information Systems from a recognized university
• Must have a minimum 6-8 years of relevant work/management experience in Flexcube core banking system
• Experience of Banking Operations in particular Core Banking, General Ledger, Loans, Payments, Trade Finance and other related Banking channels
• Experience in Banking Production Support is an advantage
• Excellent understanding and practice of Flexcube Core Banking System
• Advanced knowledge of Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, T-SQL, and willingness to learn new software systems
• Fundamental knowledge in Oracle Database and Linux
• Knowledge of the Flexcube modules domain/ Corporate Banking areas
• Working knowledge and experience of web-service/API, XML files, PL/SQL
• Experience with Oracle Development Workbench is a plus
• Must have relevant IT Certification.
