JOB DETAILS:
Our client, INDENI ENERGY COMPANY Limited, a member of the Industrial Development
Corporation (IDC) seeks to employ a competent and qualified Commercial Manager.

Main Purpose of Job:
To be responsible and accountable for all the Bulk fuel business, sales and credit management. To add value and increase growth by identifying new commercial opportunities and help shape marketing efforts. Be committed to maintaining a constant awareness of trends and market conditions, to provide strategic, advice to management. To be responsible for the safety, health environment, and quality assurance side of the business.

Main Responsibilities:
Potential Sales Volume:
Ensure that the fuel business achieves potential sales volumes in INDENI Energy, correct pricing, profitability and business growth in the Sales department in accordance to pre-determined marketing policies.
Culture Awareness:
Builds a culture of operational excellence within the team by providing leadership, motivation, coaching and mentoring. Creates an enabling environment that promotes and recognizes individual and team efforts and develops the skills and capabilities of the team. Ensures that all staff have clear accountabilities
Strong Network:
Selects, develops and manages relationships with contractors and third-party suppliers to ensure effective working practices and performance. Spends a considerable amount of time building and maintaining relationships with other oil Marketing companies regarding product supply and demand as required. Represents INDENI ENERGY dealings with other local government authorities and community groups.
Compliance:
Reviews, analyses and implements methods, systems and practices to improve depot operating efficiency and reduce costs ensuring at all times the Company’s reputation and license to operate is maintained by compliance with the relevant legislation and safety requirements.
Safety:
Champions the Health, Safety, Security and Environment as a personal value to ensure HSSE is promoted in terms of both actions and decisions and to prevent accidents and harm to people or the environment. Direct and monitor the HSSE initiatives and conduct identification of hazards and review risks of activities, products and services on HSSE System.

• Qualifications and Experience:
Full Grade 12 Certificate
• Degree in Marketing/Economics or related discipline and technical mindset capable of handling technical issues. A post graduate qualification in any business field is an added advantage.
• 8 years’ experience
• Strong and sound knowledge of operations, safety, product (Oil, Chemicals and Gases) and domain technical knowledge about the Energy Regulation Act No. 12 of 2019 (“the Act”) of the Laws of Zambia. National Energy Policy.

Ability to architect strategy coupled with good strategic and business planning skills;
• Ability to galvanize the entire company into achieving results;
Good management and leadership skills;
• Strong ability to delegate responsibility;
• Excellent active listening, negotiation and presentation skills;
Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company;
• Understanding of labour law and Human Resources practices and;
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office packages and Project Management applications.
