JOB DETAILS:
Job Purpose
Responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety in all operations, services, and events hosted by MICCL. This role involves developing and maintaining effective quality management systems, overseeing risk assessments, and implementing strategies to mitigate potential risks associated with hosting international and local conferences and events.

Key Responsibilities
• Develops, implements, and maintains a robust Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure the delivery of high-quality services to clients and attendees.
• Establishes and enforces quality standards and procedures for all aspects of conference and event management.
• Conducts thorough risk assessments for conferences and events to identify potential risks to the successful execution and reputation of the Centre.
• Collaborates with relevant teams to assess and prioritize risks based on their potential
impact on the organization.
• Develops and implements risk mitigation strategies to proactively address identified risks. Works closely with event planners, operation teams, and external partners to ensure
effective risk controls are in place.
• Develops and maintains emergency preparedness plans for conferences and events, including contingency plans for potential disruptions or crises.
• Conducts training sessions and drills to ensure staff are well-prepared for emergency situations.
• Identifies opportunities for continuous improvement in quality processes and risk management strategies.
• Implements corrective and preventive actions to enhance the overall quality and safety of events.
• Provides comprehensive training to staff involved in event planning and execution on quality assurance processes and risk management practices.
• Communicates key quality and risk-related information to relevant stakeholders within the organization and external partners.
• Stays abreast of changes in international event management regulations, standards, and best practices.
• Ensures the Centre’s compliance with applicable quality and risk management requirements.
• Analyzes quality and risk-related data to derive insights and trends.
• Prepares reports for Management with recommendations for improvements.
• Play an active role in promoting excellent relationships across MICCL
• Undertakes any other duties assigned by the Supervisor.

Qualifications
• Grade 12 School Certificate with five (5) Credits or better including English and Mathematics;
• Degree in Business Administration, Risk Management, Quality Assurance, or related field
• Certified Risk Analyst, Certified Enterprise Risk Officer, or equivalent Risk Management Certification

Experience
Five (5) years experience in risk management at senior Management level in an organisation of similar size

• In-depth knowledge of international event management standards and quality assurance frameworks.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially in a multicultural setting.
• Ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional and international teams.
• Certification in quality management (e.g., CQM, Six Sigma) is desirable.
