Network Coordinator – Terms of Reference
Position Title: Network Coordinator
Organization: Zambia Activists and Rights Defenders Network

Overview
The Network Coordinator plays a crucial role in managing and enhancing the Zambia Activists and Rights Defenders Network. This volunteer position focuses on fostering communication, collaboration, and information sharing among network members, thereby strengthening advocacy efforts and promoting human rights.

Responsibilities:
Primary Point of Contact:
• Serve as the main liaison between the network and its members.
• Respond promptly to inquiries, requests, and concerns from network members.
• Maintain regular communication to keep members informed about network activities, opportunities, and relevant updates.
Organize Meetings and Discussions:
• Plan and coordinate regular meetings, both online and in-person, to facilitate dialogue and engagement among network members.

This role involves researching funding opportunities, writing grant proposals, organizing fundraising events, and maintaining donor relationships to ensure ongoing support for the organization’s mission.

Responsibilities:
Research and Identify Potential Funding Sources:
• Conduct comprehensive research to identify potential donors, including foundations, government programs, corporate sponsors, and individual philanthropists.
• Monitor funding trends and opportunities in the field of human rights and activism.
• Create a database of potential funding sources with detailed information on application requirements and deadlines.
2. Write and Submit Grant Proposals:
