JOB DETAILS:
Job Objective
• To carry out occupational health nursing services on employees at the station and on outreach activities to ensure a healthy and productive workforce and safe workplaces.
Duties And Responsibilities
• To conduct occupational health screening on employees and other clients to facilitate management of occupational injuries and diseases
• Undertake timely and accurately recording of vital signs in order to facilitate and enhance decision making
• Conduct regularly counselling of clients and employees on occupational health matters in order to impart knowledge
• Administer timely and correctly, first aid care in order to relieve pain
• Carry out timely and accurate preparation of reports in order to facilitate decision making
• Undertake timely updating of Registers in order to enhance record keeping
Participate in health promotion to protect and promote the health of the working population.
• Participate in the orientation of employees and students in occupational health
Qualifications And Experience
• Grade 12 School Certificate or relevant qualification
• Minimum Vocation/Professional Qualifications: Diploma in Nursing or equivalent
• Minimum Relevant Pre-Job Experience: 5 Years
• Registered Member of the General Nursing Council of Zambia Valid Practicing License
• Good communication Skills
• Able to write technical reports
• Computer literate, sober habits, trust worthy, leadership, honesty and integrity
• Qualifications in Occupational Health field is an added advantage.
