JOB DETAILS:
Job Summary:
Under supervision, the Orthopaedic Workshop Intern performs routine clerical duties essential to the day-to-day operations of the Orthopaedic Workshop Department. The intern will have extensive contact with disability patients, their families, and hospital staff. Key responsibilities include scheduling appointments, welcoming patients and visitors, and ensuring effective communication within the unit. The intern must be a Christian who loves children and demonstrates strong communication skills to support the smooth operation of the unit.

Key Responsibilities:
• Schedule appointments for patients and manage the calendar for the Orthopaedic Workshop Department.
• Greet and welcome patients, families, and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
• Assist with patient check-in and check-out processes.
• Maintain patient records and ensure they are updated accurately and promptly.
• Support the Orthopaedic workshop staff with administrative tasks as needed.
• Ensure the waiting area and office spaces are clean, organized, and welcoming.
• Facilitate effective communication between patients, families, and hospital staff.
• Uphold confidentiality and comply with healthcare regulations and policies.

Required Qualifications:
• Educational Background: Minimum of a Business Tertiary Training Equivalency Diploma.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Interpersonal Skills: Ability to interact compassionately and effectively with patients, particularly children, and their families.
• Organizational Skills: Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
• Technological Proficiency: Basic computer skills, including proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Religious Affiliation: Must be a practicing Christian.
• Passion for Children: Demonstrated love for and ability to work well with children.
