JOB DETAILS:
• Caritas Czech Republic, an international NGO active in humanitarian aid and development cooperation implementing projects in Zambia, seeks a Public Relations (PR) Officer.
• The PR Officer will play a key role in shaping the public image of Caritas Czech Republic in Zambia, fostering positive relationships with the media and stakeholders, and strategically communicating our mission and initiatives to enhance brand visibility and reputation. This role requires a deep understanding of public relations principles, media dynamics, effective communication strategies, and the ability to adapt to changing trends and technologies in the ever-evolving landscape of public relations and brand management.

Key responsibilities include:
• Creating compelling and engaging content for press releases, articles, and social media.
• Working closely with project teams on developing and implementing project communication and visibility plans, including consolidating pictures for the Picture Library and producing success stories and other materials.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with media outlets, influencers, and stakeholders.
• Organizing and coordinating events to promote organizational initiatives.
• Monitoring media coverage and preparing reports for senior management.
• Providing training and support to staff on PR-related topics.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
• Proven experience in public relations or a similar role.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
• Creativity and a strategic mindset for effective PR campaigns.
• Familiarity with digital marketing and social media platforms.
Duty station: Lusaka, Zambia
