Job Description
Lumwana Mining Company seeks to recruit a highly motivated and committed employee for the position of Process Trainer to join the versatile Human Resources team. We are in search of an individual who can champion Barrick’s DNA by:

Reporting to the Senior Process Trainer, Process Trainer will be responsible for application and monitoring of training systems and processes to ensure the Processing team have the required skills and competencies to achieve optimal plant utilisation and productivity
Your duties will include but not limited to the following:
• Apply training systems to enable leaders to ensure their employees and contractors are trained and assessed as competent prior to assigning specific tasks.
• Provide all training support to agreed cost, quality, quantity and schedule.
• To source appropriate training material and utilize all resources necessary to provide a cost effective and functional training matrix.
• Align training systems and processes with overall site-wide training standards.
• Establish Safe Operating Procedures for all major tasks and operations within Processing.
• Ensure accurate training and competency records are maintained for all Processing personnel.
• Collect and analyse information to assess performance statistics, statutory requirements, systems efficiencies and business improvement initiatives.
• Compliance with company objectives, policies, procedures, safe work practices, and relevant regulations.
• Provide the necessary training resources and support to enable all process operations employees to perform at an optimum level.
To be considered for the position, you must meet the following requirements:
• Full Grade 12 School Certificate
• Diploma in Metallurgy or Process Engineering
• Certificate IV Workplace Training and Assessment/ Train the Trainer training qualification (or equivalent)
• Member of Engineering Institute of Zambia (EIZ)
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a training or supervisory role in a large scale processing plant
• Experience in a similar Training role
• Competent in incident/accident investigation
• Proven ability to deliver results and act as a change agent.
