JOB DETAILS:
To drive the Bank’s large ticket procurement activities end to end ranging from infrastructure, IT, insurance and travel ensuring that every cent spent generates shareholder value while promoting sustainable procurement practices is thus critical to the existence of the Bank as a going concern
• Prepare RFP documents, invite tenders, coordinate evaluation of the tenders, prepare Procurement Committee award recommendation and expedite the delivery of goods/services to ensure these are delivered as stipulated in the procurement plan.
• Ensure that the total contract price for the procurement activity in question is aligned to the budgeted amount allocated to that activity. The objective of this is for the role holder to ensure spend is contained within budget.
• Responsible for managing the Bank’s total non-staff expenses. In executing this role, the role holder will be expected to constantly review buying techniques, supply sources, etc. to find savings opportunities and unlock savings
• Coordinate the needs of internal users in terms of procurement requirements against the supply market requirements visa-vi’ delivery lead times and timely settlement of supply.
• Drive the day to day procurement operation activities, tenders, RFQs, RFPs, etc. ensure all these activities are undertaken in line with appropriate bank policies. This will ensure green audits.
• Drive personal development to prepare for future challenges of the role as well as drive career and professional growth.
• Use efficient processes to deliver significant value to the business. Explore areas of enhancing process efficiency both in the procurement space and other areas across the bank.
