Summary:
The work schedule for this position is:

Duties
• Organizes, develops, and implements daily and projected schedules of ongoing requirements and ad-hoc taskings from Regional Affairs Office (RAO) Office Manager. Tracks completion of administrative actions/taskings to meet RAO demands. Monitors service relationships necessary to support administrative functions. The procurement of items and services on the local economy that are not available otherwise to enhance the mission of the RAO throughout the year. Provides the first line of defense/offense in the secure operation of vehicles while transporting State officers to include VIPS from State Department and other government agencies/the Department of Defense. Meets and assists arriving and departing U.S. Embassy and State Department personnel at the International and Domestics wings at the International Airport in Lusaka, Zambia as directed.

Qualifications and Evaluations
Requirements:
• EXPERIENCE: A minimum of 3 years administrative experience in logistics, local procurement and customer service; one of which should include professional driving experience and vehicle maintenance is required.
• JOB KNOWLEDGE: A working knowledge of general logistics and transport management, procurement and expediting services is required. Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as managing files and records is required. Must know local traffic laws and regulations, patterns, and basic vehicle maintenance.

Education Requirements:

• Two-year college/university studies equivalent to host country Diploma in Logistics and Transport, Purchasing and Supply or Business Administration is required.

Evaluations:

LANGUAGE
:
• English – Good working knowledge; written & spoken. Nyanja/Bemba – Fluent; written/spoken, including ability to translate.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Must have a valid, current level C driver’s license for a minimum of five years for the operation of motor vehicles, defense driving skills and the ability to drive during daytime and nighttime. Ability to communicate effectively in English and local languages. Must be able to carry out assigned duties with minimum supervision. Proficient in Microsoft suites. Numerical and keyboard skills required, Excellent communication skills.

• The pay plan is assigned at the time of the conditional offer letter by the HR Office.
