JOB DETAILS:
Main Job Purpose:
To undertake the procurement and supplies of goods, services and works in order to enhance the operations of the Authority
Specific Duties and Requirements
• Undertake timely storage of goods in order to avoid loss and destruction;
• Maintain accurately an up-to-date Register of Suppliers in order to establish a reliable supplier base;
• Prepare and undertake effectively, the provision of secretarial services to the Authority’s Tender Committee to facilitate decision making;
• Prepare timely and accurate Bidding documents in order to facilitate decision making; and
• Supervise effectively the procurement of goods, services and works in order to ensure their timely availability.
Qualifications and Work Experience
(a) Grade Twelve (12) School Certificate or equivalent
(b) Bachelor’s Degree in Purchasing & Supply or its equivalent
(c) Foreign qualifications should be interpreted/graded by Zambia Qualifications Authority
(d) Minimum of 3 years relevant post-qualification work experience
(e) Paid up Member of the Zambia Institute of Purchasing & Supply, valid for 2024
(f) Must be familiar with e-GP system
(g) Must be a Zambian citizen
(h) Should not be above 40 years of age at the date of this Advertisement
Skills and Other Attributes
(a) Excellent oral and written skills
(b) Able to write comprehensive reports
(c) Able to communicate effectively in English
(d) Proficiency in office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and many other relevant applications
(e) Must have high levels of integrity and ethics
(f) Must have a high degree of attention to detail
(g) Should possess good negotiation skills
