JOB DETAILS:
Educational Background
Master’s degree in Education, Quality Management, Business Administration, or a relevant field. A PhD can be advantageous, especially in education-related disciplines.
Certifications: Additional credentials in quality assurance (e.g., ISO standards, Total Quality Management, or Six Sigma) may be beneficial.
2. Experience
5+ years of experience in quality assurance, academic administration, or a similar field within higher education.
Experience with accreditation processes: Familiarity with accreditation standards and agencies (e.g., Higher Education Authority or regional accreditation bodies).
Leadership experience: Proven ability to lead quality assurance initiatives within an educational institution.
3. Technical Skills
Knowledge of quality frameworks relevant to academia (e.g., Total Quality Management in Education, Balanced Scorecard for Education).
Proficiency in assessment and evaluation tools: Familiarity with program evaluation, course assessments, and data-driven quality metrics.
Experience with quality assurance software: Some universities use specialized software to track academic quality and compliance.
4. Soft Skills
Excellent communication skills: Ability to articulate quality standards and practices to faculty, staff, and external accrediting bodies.
Analytical skills: Competence in evaluating data to ensure educational standards are met and to identify areas for improvement.
Attention to detail: Ensuring that programs comply with both internal policies and external accreditation requirements.
Problem-solving skills: Quickly addressing quality issues and implementing corrective actions.
5. Other Competencies
Knowledge of higher education regulations and standards: Familiarity with academic policies, accreditation requirements, and compliance issues.
Continuous improvement mindset: Commitment to fostering a culture of ongoing quality improvement.
Project management skills: Managing quality assurance projects, from program reviews to compliance audits.

Research and data analysis skills to support quality improvements based on evidence.
Change management: Ability to implement quality-driven changes in collaboration with faculty and administration.
Networking and stakeholder engagement: Building relationships with accrediting bodies, faculty, and institutional leaders.
