Job Purpose
The Marketing Director will report to the Chief Companying Officer of the Company. This position’s primary role is to improve Company performance through managing the marketing, advertising and public relations efforts of the Company. Be overall responsible for providing guidance to our marketing department by evaluating and developing marketing strategies, planning and coordinating marketing efforts, communicating the marketing plans to those involved, and building awareness and positioning for our company’s brands. work closely with our sales department to develop a pricing strategy that will help us maximize profits and market share. finally, you will be in charge of organizing company conferences, trade shows, and major events.
Summary of Key Responsibilities:
• Develop, implement and manage effective marketing strategies, programs and promotions that build market share and increase customer retention along market segments.
• Responsible for developing annual marketing plan and budget to support marketing strategies and ensures adherence to approved budget.
• Responsible to work with marketing and advertising vendors to develop contracts to optimize the Company’s marketing in a cost-effective manner.
• Position, develop and manage the Company’s website to ensure continued development as an interactive delivery system.
• Oversee the creation of interesting content and visually compelling designs for the website and advertisements (electronic and paper) to highlight the products and services offered.
• Work with Ad Agencies and contribute to the design, content, and growth strategies for social media.
• Developing promotions with advertising managers.
• Understanding and developing budgets and finance, including expenditures, research and development appropriations, return-on-investment and profit-loss projections.
• Developing and managing advertising campaigns.
• Building brand awareness and positioning.
• Supporting sales and lead generation efforts.
• Coordinating marketing projects from start to finish.
• Organizing company conferences, trade shows, and major events.
• Responsible for the recruitment, training and evaluation of staff within the marketing department
Required Skills and Competencies
• Effective time management skills and the ability to multitask.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
• Strong written and verbal skills.
• Ability to write, read, analyze and interpret reports, business correspondence and procedures manuals.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management, tenants, clients, customers and the general public.
• Ability to effectively create and propose sponsorship proposals to local and national companies.

Primary Areas of Accountability:
Qualifications and Experience
• Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
• A Masters in any of the above fields
• Must have a minimum of 10 years working experience in Marketing, Advertising, Branding and Corporate Communication
• Must have vast experience of 5-7 in marketing and running a marketing team
• Must have worked for a Multinational Telecoms or ISP Company in the same capacity (Marketing, Advertising, Branding and Communications
• Southern Region Experience in Marketing, Branding and Corporate Communication will be an added advantage
• Strong Copywriting Skills Will Be Plus
• Experience With Digital Marketing Forms Such as Social Media Marketing and Content Marketing.
• Must be a member of ZIM
