Pact Overview

Pact is an international development nonprofit that works on the ground in nearly 40 countries to end poverty and marginalization. We partner with local organizations, businesses, and governments to build lasting solutions for thriving, resilient communities. Our vision is a world where everyone own their future.

The USAID Zambia Integrated HIV and Health activity (USAID Zambia Integrated Health) aims to improve health outcomes of Zambians through equitable access to high-quality, client-centered HIV, TB/HIV, maternal newborn, and child health (MNCH), and family planning/reproductive health (FP/RH) services, products, and information. These services, integrated, when possible, will reduce mortality, morbidity, and HIV transmission for populations in focus districts in Northwestern, Copperbelt, and Central provinces, and possibly other provinces in Zambia.

USAID Zambia Integrated Health, led by Pact, is implemented with local partner, Centre for Infectious Disease Research in Zambia (CIDRZ); indigenous partners, Circle of Hope, Copper Rose Zambia, and Zambia Network of Young People Living with HIV; regional partner, mothers2mothers; and global partner, Viamo. Pact and its partners work closely with USAID, the Government of the Republic of Zambia (GRZ), and other stakeholders to provide both direct service delivery and technical assistance (TA) to increase local capacities at all levels across three components, including:

  1. Increasing coverage of comprehensive and client-centered HIV, TB/HIV, FP/RH, and MNCH prevention, diagnosis, care, and treatment services in communities and health facilities to reach and maintain 95-95-95 in focus districts.
  2. Increasing utilization of community and facility-based quality, person-centered, integrated HIV, TB/HIV, FP and MNCH services.
  3. Increasing capacities of the Provincial and District Health Offices (P/DHOs) to facilitate a gradual transition of direct service delivery of quality integrated health services and sustain services beyond activity implementation.
