Overview
Pact is an international development nonprofit that works on the ground in nearly 40 countries to end poverty and marginalization. We partner with local organizations, businesses, and governments to build lasting solutions for thriving, resilient communities. Our vision is a world where everyone own their future.
The USAID Zambia Integrated HIV and Health activity (USAID Zambia Integrated Health) aims to improve health outcomes of Zambians through equitable access to high-quality, client-centered HIV, TB/HIV, maternal newborn, and child health (MNCH), and family planning/reproductive health (FP/RH) services, products, and information. These services, integrated, when possible, will reduce mortality, morbidity, and HIV transmission for populations in focus districts in Northwestern, Copperbelt, and Central provinces, and possibly other provinces in Zambia.
USAID Zambia Integrated Health, led by Pact, is implemented with local partner, Centre for Infectious Disease Research in Zambia (CIDRZ); indigenous partners, Circle of Hope, Copper Rose Zambia, and Zambia Network of Young People Living with HIV; regional partner, mothers2mothers; and global partner, Viamo. Pact and its partners work closely with USAID, the Government of the Republic of Zambia (GRZ), and other stakeholders to provide both direct service delivery and technical assistance (TA) to increase local capacities at all levels across three components, including:
Purpose
USAID Zambia Integrated Health seeks an individual consultant or consultancy firm to lead the design and development of a comprehensive Social and Behavior Communication Strategy for integrated services and a monitoring and evaluation plan (2024- 2028).
The goal of this Communication Strategy is to provide USAID Zambia Integrated Health with Social Behavior Change and Communication (SBCC) Strategies, grounded in sound theory of change and research to guide the design and implementation of effective SBCC interventions. The SBC Communication Strategy will contribute to the improved health outcomes of Zambians through equitable access to high-quality, client-centered HIV, TB/HIV, MNCH, and FP/RH services and products through increased awareness and the implementation of targeted, tailored communication strategies that will influence behavior change in the communities.
The target populations include adolescents and young people, pregnant and lactating mothers, older adults, PLHIV and comorbidities, GBV survivors, key populations, and other populations vulnerable to HIV infection and who present the greatest risk of infecting others. The SBC Communication strategy should be aligned with the objectives of the National HIV and AIDS Strategic Framework (NASF) 2022 – 2026, the National HIV and AIDS Strategy 2022-2025, and the National HIV and AIDS Communication and Advocacy Strategy (NACAS 2019-2023), which recognize the role of SBCC interventions in preventing new HIV infections and provision of quality treatment and care among PLHIV.
