Job Purpose
We are seeking a Senior IT Officer to join our leadership team and support our multi-industry operations. In this pivotal role, you will assist the Group IT Manager, overseeing all technical aspects of the company. You will drive IT strategy and ensure that our manufacturing systems, supply chain platforms, and enterprise applications work in harmony to support business objectives. This is a chance to make a high-impact contribution by leveraging technology to enhance production efficiency, data integration, and overall business performance.
Main Duties and Accountabilities
- Strategic IT Leadership: Assist the Group IT Manager in developing and executing a robust IT strategy that supports manufacturing excellence, supply chain optimization and enterprise-wide innovation.
- Technology Operations Management: Oversee all IT operations across all group companies including hardware systems management, servers & network management, website management, ERP systems (ERP, MES, SCM, etc.) ensuring security, reliability, and scalability to meet production and business needs.
- Project & Initiative Delivery: Lead key IT projects such as ERP implementations, system upgrades, cloud migrations, and Industry 4.0 initiatives (IoT, automation), delivering solutions on time and within budget.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with manufacturing, supply chain, and corporate department heads to identify technology needs and opportunities for process improvement, aligning IT initiatives with business goals.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and manage distributed IT teams across multiple sites, fostering a culture of excellence, proactive support, and continuous improvement in service delivery.
- Governance & Compliance: Implement IT policies, security protocols, and data protection measures. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, safeguarding critical manufacturing and business data.
- Vendor & Stakeholder Management: Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers to procure and maintain IT systems. Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels to report progress, challenges, and outcomes of IT initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
- Grade 12 Certificate with five (5) O Levels.
- A Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience in a similar role.
- Experience with Sage 200 package will be added advantage.
