JOB DETAILS:
Overview of the role: A Site Manager oversees and directs a variety of projects from the beginning through to completion.

Essential Functions:
1 Plans, organizes directs and controls the drilling activities of the project in order to achieve the site’s drilling targets.
2 Liaise with client geologists, mine officials as well as other officials to ensure that services for drilling are provided on time.
3 Organizes drilling material / accessories for his project and ensures that these are made available in time to his men, without disrupting production.
4 Reports on a daily basis to the Managing Director, on production results (targets met/not met, reasons for failing to meet targets, problems faced, etc.
5 Distributes tasks to the drillers and ensures that the targets they are allocated are achieved safely.
6 Responsible for ensuring the safety of all employees and equipment at his site.
7 Responsible for compliance to all mining and other related regulations at the site.
8 Helping to negotiating contracts and securing permits and licenses.
9 Finding ways to prevent problems from happening and solve any that crop up, assessing and minimizing risk.
10 Checking and preparing site reports, designs, and drawings

Minimum Qualification:
• Diploma or degree in civil engineering or any other mine related course
• At least five years of experience in Mining and Drilling industry
• Leadership skills
• Team player
• Valid Silicosis / Medical Certificate

Experience in Months: 60

Level of Education: Postgraduate Degree
