JOB DETAILS:
(A) Job Purpose
To undertake the formulation and evaluation of all social sector climate change programming in order to facilitate community participation and promote inclusiveness in climate change programming
(B) Duties And Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be reporting to the National Coordinator, National Designated Authority and shall be responsible for:
i) Climate Fund Alignment: Undertakes effectively the social alignment of climate change programming in order to ensure they reflect national development priorities
ii) Financing Forum: Undertakes effectively the coordination of social related matters at financing forum in order to promote coordination of climate change financing initiatives
iii) Project Appraisal: Undertakes effectively the appraisal of projects in order to determine adherence to social safeguards
iv) National Implementing Entities: Undertakes effectively the social safeguard vetting of potential national implementing entities in order to facilitate accreditation
(C) Requirements
The applicant must meet the following requirements:
i. Full Form V/Grade 12 School Certificate with a minimum of five (5) credits including English language or its equivalent;
ii. Bachelor of Arts Degree in Development Studies or equivalent;
iii. 8 years experience 2 of which should have been in management;
iv. Ability to write technical and analytical reports;
v. Ability to communicate effectively in English
vi. Masters in relevant field is an added advantage;
