JOB DETAILS:
We are a leading logistics and manufacturing company specializing in the timely delivery of quality industrial and mining chemicals. Through our global network, we consistently meet customer expectations by delivering value and maintaining excellent relationships.
We are seeking highly motivated, qualified, and experienced individuals for our Gypsum Plant. Applications are invited for the following position:
Mechanical Fitter
Reporting to: Plant Manager

Key Responsibilities:
• Repair, fit, and assemble mechanical systems’ structural components.
• Collaborate with other Fitters on large-scale projects.
• Perform mechanical evaluations and troubleshoot failures.
• Implement the 5 pillars of maintenance: planning, inspection, scheduling, execution, and improvement.
• Analyze blueprints to determine component specifications.
• Create and execute maintenance schedules.
• Diagnose and repair malfunctioning systems.
• Replace damaged or defective components.
• Adhere to safety rules and regulations.
• Follow all approved operational and maintenance procedures..
• Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements:
• Full Grade 12 Certificate.
• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (added advantage).
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in mechanical fitting, particularly in the bulk chemicals/materials manufacturing sector.
• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to interpret blueprints.
• Proficient in using hand and power tools.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Degree holders in Mechanical Engineering will have an added advantage.
• Membership to a relevant professional body is also an advantage.
