Job description:
The job holder is responsible for conducting comprehensive training for Kansanshi Mining Plc (KMP) employees and designated contractors on Hauling operations by the KMP Standard Operating Procedures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Planning for daily activities according to the training plan & schedule.
• Conducting training in line with the Operator Training Manual process or path.
• Conducting assessments in line with the assessment procedure.
• Install a high awareness of safety in all aspects of training.
• Maintaining a proactive approach to all aspects of operational and behavioral safety and encouraging teamwork within the department in line with KMP company values.
• Proactively engage others in safety
• Complete all documentation to a high standard and submit it on time.
• Monitor the training hours completed by each trainee to ensure adherence to the training path.
• Administrate and record learning progress accurately and timeously.
• Coaching & Mentoring Learners.
• Ensure that all training is in line with the company’s approved procedures.
• Liaising and planning with the supervisors to minimise negative impact on production.
• Ensure that all documents are signed off by relevant stakeholders
• Conduct infield observation and refresher training on operators to enhance skills
• Ensuring that the learners’ identified skills gaps are closed
• Demonstrate high levels of knowledge in WENCO systems operations
• Competently using e-learning management systems (INX)
• Reporting all lapses to the supervisor during training
• The ability to facilitate classroom and field training for groups of varying sizes.
• Any other duties as may be reasonably requested of you, in line with the effective operations of the Training Department

QUALIFICATIONS
• Minimum of a Grade 12 School Certificate
• Valid driving licence
• Diploma or certificate in Teaching methodology
• Basic computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office.
• Valid first aid certificate
• Blasting licence is an added advantage
• A diploma in a Mining-related field would be an added advantage

EXPERIENCE
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in the mining industry at the operator level.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience operating haul trucks in a very busy mine environment
