Job Description
Lumwana Mining Company seeks to recruit a highly motivated and committed employee for the position of MIG Superintendent to join the versatile Security team. We are in search of individuals who can champion Barrick’s DNA by:

Reporting to the Security Manager, you will be responsible to provide leadership to a dedicated, professional security investigations section and ensure provision of a service capable of protecting company personnel and property.

Your duties & Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following: –
• Ensure positive and effective implementation of Barrick Security policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with overarching statutory requirements and adherence to international norms.
• Investigation of incidents and occurrences as directed by Security Manager
• Preparations and presentation of investigations and inquiries
• Investigations of breaches of company procedures and code of conduct
• Preparation and presentation of enquiry files to the Barrick Legal
• Call handling and initial response to reports of breaches of the company procedures or code of conduct
• Attendance to crime scenes relevant to the company’s business in Zambia
• Civil and criminal court attendance in relation to enquiries and investigations undertaken on behalf of the company.
• Investigation of white collar and syndicate crime affecting the company’s operations in Zambia

To be considered for the position, the applicant must have the following;
• Grade 12 Certificate
• Degree in Security, social science, related field or equivalent.
• At least 10 years in Law Enforcement with experience in commercial field preferred
• Advanced investigative capabilities to commercial crime
• Able to clearly demonstrate the aptitude to drive a light vehicle and hold a valid Zambian driver’s licence
• Must have excellent written and communication skills in English and show commitment to understand local culture and impart mining operations and technical knowledge to the local mine operations personnel.
• Competent in incident investigations
• Must be computer literate
