1. ABOUT PLAN INTERNATIONAL
Plan International is an independent development and humanitarian organization committed to advancing children’s rights and promoting equality for girls. Our work is focused on creating lasting change through the following key areas:
Since 1996, Plan International Zambia has been working across the country, with a presence in Lusaka, Central (Kabwe, Chibombo, Chisamba, and Kapiri), Luapula (Mansa, Chembe, Chiengi, Milenge and Lunga), Eastern (Petauke, Vubwi, Chadiza, Mambwe, and Chipata), and Southern (Gwembe, Sinazongwe, and Zimba) provinces.
Our bold ambition is to ensure that vulnerable and excluded children, especially adolescent girls, reach their full potential. This goal is guided by our Country Strategic Plan (2022-2026), which focuses on key areas including Education, Youth Employment and Entrepreneurship, Health and Nutrition, Livelihood and Resilience, Climate Change, Humanitarian Emergencies, Gender Equality and Social Inclusion, and Protection from Violence.
Plan International Zambia strives to be recognized as the go-to organization for girls’ rights in the country.
