Conservation Lower Zambezi seeks to engage like-minded reputable organisations/service providers to facilitate various services under the Lower Zambezi Fisheries Co-management project aimed at ensuring sustainable use of the resource by different actors in the Lower Zambezi – Mana Pools Trans-Frontier Conservation Area (TFCA). Conservation Lower Zambezi (CLZ) is implementing a project “Pro nature Sustainable Management of Fisheries in the Lower Zambezi” with support from the French Development Agency (AFD) and French Fund for the Global Environment (FFEM) in partnership with Conservation International (CI). CLZ is seeking the following services:

1.     Service Delivery/Consultancy
Lot One: Develop and set up a digital data collection tool preferably Spatial Monitoring and Reporting Tool (SMART) and integrate it with the current systems (Earth Ranger) that the Community Fisheries Monitor Unit (CFMU) is using in fisheries data collection.

Lot Two: Strengthening and Capacity Building of Chiawa and Mphuka Community Resource Boards (CRBs) and Village Action Groups (VAGs) leading to enhanced national policy on communities and engagement and development.
Lot Three: Consultancy to undertake community engagement work in Zimbabwe, to support conservation agreements in Kanyemba communities of Zimbabwe.
Lot Four: Consultancy to provide mediation on land user fees and benefits for communities living in Chiawa Game Management Area and stakeholders.
2.     Supply of Goods and Equipment
Lot One: Supply and Installation of five (5) 10, 000 L water tanks, stands and all essential fittings.
Lot Two: Supply and installation of five (5) irrigation systems.
Lot Three: Supply and installation of solar powered electric fencing. (5 x 1ha plots).
Lot Four:  Supply of legal multifilament fishing gill nets.

Lot Five: Supply and delivery of eight (8) fiber canoes.

Interested suppliers and consultants/service providers shall provide the following information to CLZ using the contact details below:

  • A formally registered service provider with demonstrated skills and expertise in the subject area.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in co-management of natural resource management and fisheries and capacitating monitoring units for lot 1,2 & 3.
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare deliverables of good quality on time.
  • Experience in undertaking similar assignments with reputable organisations.
  • Business Profiles, quotations, valid ZRA tax clearance, valid registration certificate from PACRA, experience with kind of supply/service, price list and 3 referees of similar work for suppliers of goods and equipment.
