Copper Rose Zambia (CRZ) is the largest youth-led and youth-focused organisation working towards the empowerment of youth and women in Zambia. The organisation exists to create a conducive environment for young people to thrive in all aspects of their lives. It envisions a world in which every young person is happy, healthy, and living to their full potential.
The organisation uses a holistic approach that includes reaching out to in-school and out-of-school youths, including young women, focusing on individual behaviour change as well as systematic change in policy and practise towards a more supportive environment for youth- led and women’s development. CRZ works to create a network of young leaders, supporting them to progress in their careers and be champions of youth- led development.
BACKGROUND
The following Terms of Reference (ToR) set out below, state the working arrangements for the consultant being hired by Copper Rose Zambia (CRZ) for the review and updating of its Human Resources (HR) policies. It outlines vital information about the mode of the consultancy, such as its purpose, terms and duration, responsibilities, level of required support needed for the consultancy, and general provisions governing the position.
OBJECTIVES OF THE ASSIGNMENT
The Human Resources Policy Review Consultant will work with senior management and will be responsible for reviewing and updating CRZ’s existing HR policies to ensure they are current, comprehensive, and aligned with best practices. Additionally, the consultant will create standard operating procedures (SOPs), employee handbooks, and managers’ handbooks to facilitate the effective implementation and understanding of these policies.
