JOB DETAILS:
Western Water Supply and Sanitation Company Limited (WWSSC), providing water and sanitation services in Western province and regulated by National Water and Sanitation Council, invites suitably qualified and experienced individuals to apply for the following vacant positions based at the Corporate Office in Mongu.
Commercial Manager
Job Purpose
To contribute to financial viability and sustainability of the company through effective and efficient billing, revenue collection and customer care.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
• Develops and implements the company’s commercial policy in order to ensure efficient billing and revenue collection
• Prepares and monitors commercial departmental budget
• Develops collection strategies and programmes to improve collection efficiency
• Identifies opportunities that will lead to expansion of services and revenue
• Consolidates daily collections submitted by districts so as to show total daily collections for the company
• Consolidates all Government bills for Government properties serviced by WWSSC and submits them for payment after certification by respective GRZ departments
• Monitors performance of the department against targets and budget and ensures corrective action
• Ensures that commercial customers’s complaints are resolved according to the NWASCO guidlines
• Prepares management reports on commercial activities and submits to Senior Management and NWASCO as required
• Participates in community meeting with stakeholders in order to explain WWSSC Commercial policies and activities
• Attends management meetings, represents WWSC at fairs, sits on committees tasked with review of tarrifs so as to provide technical input for new tariff proposals
• Supervises. coaches, motivates, develops and disciplines subordinates; and agrees, monitors and reviews performance of subordinates to ensure that they meet their agreed targets.

Professional Qualifications/Membership
• Bachelor of Arts in business or Commercial Discipline.
Minimum Relevant Pre- Job Experience/Age
• Minimum 5 years post experience in a commercial environment and at managerial level
• Experience in a Water Utility Environment will be a definite added advantage
• Should be at least above thirty five (35) years of age.

• Very good knowledge of computers, able to handle billing packages

• Good analytical Skills
