DIRECTOR FINANCE & ADMINISTRATION
Reporting to: Managing Director
JOB PURPOSE
To provide effective and timely financial and administrative support services to Management by efficiently directing the finance, procurement and administration functions of the company. The focus of the job will be the development and implementation of sound long-term corporate objectives for ZSIC General Insurance Limited. .
Job Responsibilities:
• Risk Management & Control – Establishing procedures, guidelines and work instructions concerning administration of finances
• Financial and Management Accounting - Carrying out accounting at company level, checking and consolidating data from all branches located country wide, preparing monthly, quarterly management accounts and monitoring progress and budget exhaustion on monthly basis Budget Preparation, Monitoring and Control - Ensuring the development and maintenance of efficient budgetary and financial management structures, preparing, implementing and monitoring the company's annual revenue and expenditure budgets and monitoring performance
• Tax Planning & Management - Planning and managing the company's tax liabilities and evaluating the tax impact
• Treasury Management & Investments - Managing, coordinating and controlling investments in order to maximise revenue of the company. Responsible for liquidity management within the company including debt collection
• Legal & Regulatory Compliance - Ensuring legal and regulatory compliance in all business activities and timely submission of reports required by institutions such as PIA, ZRA, NAPSA and Workers Compensation Fund.
• Procurement & Administration - Efficiently managing the company's procurement function to ensure timely acquisition of operational requirements for uninterrupted company operations
• Information Services - Providing financial and administrative reports on a timely basis, checking the accuracy, completeness and timeliness of financial and non-financial data Strategy
• Formulating - Providing effective strategic, financial planning information, developing and articulating the strategic direction and vision and monitoring the operations of the Finance & Administration department Leadership - Leading, directing and controlling the business operations in line with ZSIC General Insurance's mission and strategic objectives

Job Qualifications:
• A Degree in Accounting, Financial Management or any related field plus a
• professional accounting qualification (ACCA or CIMA).
• Minimum ten (10) years' work experience, 5 of which should be at Senior
Management position
• Computer literate, proficient with MS Word, Excel and Financial applications
• Be well versed with Zambian and International laws regulating financial transactions, insurance & tax requirements
• Paid up Member of the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA)
Job Education Requirements:
• A Degree in Accounting, Financial Management or any related field plus a
professional accounting qualification (ACCA or CIMA)..
Job Experience Requirements:
• Minimum ten (10) years' work experience, 5 of which should be at Senior
Management position
